Musical Instrument Drive For Horace Mann | Hilton

Bring in gently used instruments or new instruments for the Horace Mann School's innovative Visual Music for the Deaf project sponsored by the Hilton Boston Financial District. "It's an amazing program; it stopped us right in our tracks" says Sean Smith, General Manager of the Hilton Boston Financial District. "A visiting professor from Egypt, Dr. Mohamed Abdelwahab Abdelfattah, started this program to bring music to the deaf and hard of hearing at the Horace Mann School. Part of the goal is for the students to perform in their own orchestra come June, but they don't have any instruments. None! Right now they are playing with wooden spoons and metal bowls. We can do better than that in this town, so we are reaching out to our staff, our neighbors, and music lovers in Greater Boston to bring in gently used or new instruments on Valentine's Weekend. We will deliver the instruments to Horace Mann and the kids will truly to be able to make beautiful music together."

Bring in gently used or new musical instruments, enjoy live music and enjoy Valentine's Day treats on February 15, 16 and 17. If you can't get there that weekend, please call Cindy Viana (617 348 1225) to make arrangements for your donation.
